Boil water notice lifted in Crockett

UPDATE: The City of Crockett said the boil water notice was rescinded and thanked the public for their patience.


HOUSTON COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The City of Crockett said Houston County Water Control & Improvement District (WCID) #1 issued a boil water notice for all customers on Wednesday.

Trinity County issues local disaster declaration

According to a release, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality required Houston County WCID #1 to issue a boil water notice due to failing to meet minimum treatment technique requirements in April.

“To ensure destruction of al harmful bacteria and other microbes, any water that you use for drinking, cooking, or ice making should be boiled prior to consumption,” a release said.
