Clara Amfo announced for new project following BBC Radio 1 exit
Clara Amfo has lined up a brand-new project following her BBC Radio 1 exit.
The former Strictly Come Dancing competitor stood down from Radio 1 in March after presenting the station's groundbreaking Future Sounds show since 2021.
She has now teamed up with the BBC once again to present the podcast Make Me A Mixtape alongside Jordan Stephens — a frequent contributor to Big Brother: Late & Live.
In this new music podcast, Clara and Jordan will compete against each other to create the perfect music playlist based on a listener-suggested theme. The listeners will decide which mixtape wins out, giving either Clara or Jordan the ultimate bragging rights for the week.

Listeners will get to know both hosts better as they share their funny and candid personal connections to the songs they've placed on their curated playlists, with plenty of tea being spilled along the way.
Make Me A Mixtape will also feature celebrity guests and other lively segments when it begins its weekly on-demand releases for BBC Sounds on June 25.
Clara's music credibility is well established through her time on BBC Radio 1, but co-host Jordan Stephens has plenty of cred as well.
Jordan first found fame as a member of the hip-hop group Rizzle Kicks and has more recently presented ITV2's comedy panel show Don't Hate the Playaz.
This new podcast comes after Clara announced in April that she was following up her exit from Radio 1 with the six-part ITVX series Studio Sessions.
In this series, Clara champions A-list talent and emerging artists through an immersive viewing experience that brings fans into the recording and performing process for hitmakers.
ITV Studio Sessions, which is recorded at The O2, is now available to stream on ITVX.
