Clarkson’s Farm will soon be back up and running as Amazon’s streaming service Prime Video prepares to re-open the gates to the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour’s latest venture.

Jeremy Clarkson’s series, which debuted in 2021, sees him try his hardest to keep a small farm in the Costwolds up and running and turning a profit. That said, life on Diddly Squat Farm (so-called thanks to its lack of activity) isn’t always easy.

Together with his partner Lisa Horgan, young farmer friend Kaleb Cooper and a host of other agricultural experts at his side, Clarkson will stop at nothing to make Diddly Squat a roaring rural success.

Fans have been eager to watch Clarkson’s Farm season 3 ever since the release of the second season in February 2023. With that in mind, here’s everything we know about the new episodes...

The first four episodes of Clarkson’s Farm season 3 will be released on Friday, 3 May on Prime Video worldwide. The remaining four episodes will land on Friday, May 10.

According to the streamer, the show’s new batch of episodes will once again see Clarkson, Kaleb and co try to transform Diddly Squat farm into a profitable hit.

That said, like seasons 1 and 2 before it, this goal won’t come easy, with the show's creators assuring us that Clarkson will face “in-depth, authentic, and unexpected trials and tribulations” whilst trying to reach his goal.

The first trailer for Clarkson’s Farm season 3 has arrived and with it comes a new competition between Clarkson and his farm friend Kaleb about who can make the most money: the former on unfarmed land or the latter using farmed land.

This little rivalry seems to form the focus of the show’s latest outing but throughout the trailer, we also glimpse some funny ups and heartbreaking downs while the future of Diddly Squat hangs in the balance.

Season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm saw the former Top Gear host try to combat the low profits earned from his farming yield in season 1 by opening a new restaurant on Diddly Squat.

Unfortunately, the powers-that-be had other ideas, with Clarkson’s grand plan of building an on-site eatery to compliment the growing success of his already-built Diddly Squat Farm Shop hitting a variety of speed bumps.

By the time season 2 of Clarkson’s Farm had ended its eight-episode run, Clarkson had failed to make his lavish farm restaurant dreams a reality and had instead pivoted to focus on a stripped-down version housed in an old barn.

Local authority red tape was hot on his heels though and without the necessary permissions, this low-fi venture looked like it would be shut down sharpish.

According to Prime Video, season 3 of Clarkson’s Farm will once again find the inhabitants of Diddly Squat face a series of “seriously daunting challenges” as Clarkson continues to try and transform his land. However, by the sounds of it, the odds are increasingly stacked against him.

As explained in the official synopsis for the new series, “the crops are failing in the severe hot weather, inflation has driven prices of supplies sky high, dreams for the beloved restaurant are dashed and now the farm shop also faces closure.

“Jeremy urgently needs to come up with creative new ways of making ends meet, so hatches a plan to turn a profit from hundreds of acres of unfarmed land – thick woodland and hedgerows that make up half of Diddly Squat. This triggers an avalanche of Clarkson-crafted schemes, involving everything from goats and pigs to mushrooms, nettles and deer."

Elsewhere, Clarkson’s Farm season 3 promises to see the introduction of a newcomer who “puts Kaleb’s nose out of joint,” with familiar faces like land agent ‘Cheerful’ Charlie Ireland and the farm’s head of security Gerald Cooper also returning.

As per Deadline, Prime Video has renewed Clarkson's Farm for a fourth series.

Comments made by Clarkson about Meghan Markle in a column he had written in The Sun newspaper in December 2022 reportedly put the future of both the show and Clarkson’s involvement with Prime Video in jeopardy.

However, since then, outlets like Deadline assured readers that the show’s future still had a home at Amazon’s in-house streamer, labelling Clarkson’s Farm as “easily its best-performing UK original” series.

Deadline also reminded its readers that the premiere of Clarkson’s Farm season 2 attracted 4.3 million eyeballs, a record for Amazon’s streaming service.
