Claudia Winkleman to host celebrity version of The Traitors - report

Claudia Winkleman has reportedly signed up to host a celebrity version of The Traitors in 2025.

Following on from the success of the first two seasons, a celebrity version of the much-watched reality show is in the works, according to Deadline.

Winkleman, who has fronted both seasons, is reportedly expected to return to host the celebrity edition, which is set to air in 2025.

Several sources told the outlet that executives at the BBC and Studio Lambert, which makes the show, are close to reaching an agreement. If the deal goes ahead, the celebrity Traitors will film next year and be broadcast after the third season of the main show.

While the news has yet to be confirmed, Studio Lambert boss Stephen Lambert said a celebrity version was "obviously a possibility" during an interview on The News Agents podcast earlier this year.

Studio Lambert produces both the U.K. and U.S. versions of The Traitors. While the U.K. show has only featured civilians so far, the U.S. series has already embraced celebrities. The first season featured a mix of reality TV personalities and regular people while the second season's line-up was only celebrities, including ex-House of Commons Speaker, John Bercow, and Love Islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

Both versions are filmed in the same Scottish castle, although Alan Cumming hosts the U.S. series.

The Traitors follows contestants who are divided into Faithfuls and Traitors. The Faithfuls must identify the Traitors before they can "murder" them.
