Strictly Come Dancing hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly reunited for some socially distanced filming of the Best Of show this week.

It was the first time the pair have filmed together since lockdown and Tess marked the occasion by sharing a series of photos of the hosts looking glamorous and happy to be back together again.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "Dreamy being reunited with @claudiawinkle today for some (socially distanced) filming for our ‘Best Of’ Strictly shows- on tv in September 💫 #strictlybusiness".

The show is set to air in September ahead of a very different new series of Strictly this year, where "all pros will be quarantining before the show", according to professional dancer Oti Mabuse.

Fans including celebrities Anna Friel, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton responded to Tess' post with excitement.

One fan of the show wrote: "So excited to relive some great shows. As the pro tour was rescheduled for next year, I am getting withdrawal symptoms."

Another said: "Can't wait, love anything to do with strictly, watched it from the beginning".

Tess responded to a few of her followers, saying: "I’m hearing the line up is amazing!"

She also assured one viewer that "the series will be live; just a few weeks later".

Meanwhile, head judge Shirley Ballas has revealed who she would like to see taking to the dancefloor in the competition this year.

Speaking to Digital Spy, she said: "I think it would be lovely for one of the younger Royals, you know? I mean, the world is changing, let's face it. We've even seen the Queen on Zoom!"
