Cliftonville fans give players incredible send-off for Irish Cup final

Cliftonville won the Irish Cup for the first time in 45 years on Saturday, and it's no surprise given the support they had at Windsor Park.

The official attendance for the game was 18,898 with a large contingent cheering on the Reds at the international stadium.

It provided a raucous atmosphere, with Cliftonville going on to claim a heroic 3-1 win after extra-time, Ronan Hale bagging a double to earn Jim Magilton's side a famous success.

The Reds fans were out in their numbers all day, and the party atmosphere was evident even before the team had left Solitude.

Cliftonville fan and pro boxer Owen O'Neill captured the video above as the players boarded the bus to head to Windsor.

Fans waved flags and flares and sang songs before wishing the squad well.

Man of the Match Rory Hale acknowledged the crowd after the game. He said: "It is amazing. What a brilliant day. Look at the crowd today. They gave us an extra push, especially when we were dropping like flies in extra-time. It lifted the boys, outstanding."
