Climbers Cook Sausages on Molten Rock of Siberian Volcano

A team of mountain climbers filmed themselves cooking sausages on the molten rock of an erupting volcano in Russia.

Volcano enthusiast and climber Boris Smirnov embarked on a four-day expedition to film the formation of a new volcanic cone on Eurasia’s tallest volcano, Klyuchevskaya Sopka, in Kamchatka, Siberia.

“The lava was very hot, it had not cooled down yet, so it was not possible to climb up the cone, but the sausages were fried in 15 minutes!” Smirnov told Storyful.
