A road just off Dorchester town centre is to be partially closed to allow works to be carried out.

Prince of Wales Road will be shut from between its junctions with South Walks Road and York Road from Monday, July 15, a distance of approximately 300 metres.

The temporary closure order will be in place for five days but it is estimated that the works will be completed by Friday, July 19.

The closure will enable Energy Network Services safe access to install new dual circuit to property.

A diversion route, which will be sign posted is as follows: South Walks Road - Culliford Road North - B3144 and Weymouth Avenue - Maumbury Road - South Court Avenue - Culliford Road - B3144.
