Cocky Daizen Maeda declares Celtic WILL be champions as Kilmarnock's chances of pooping title party brushed off

Daizen Maeda is ready to say the quiet part out loud as Celtic prepare to be crowned Premiership champions.

The Hoops have a six-point lead over Rangers heading into the final two games and one more point gained on their rivals will secure a third straight title. They'll have the chance to get over the line themselves against Kilmarnock on Wednesday - but might not even need to if Philippe Clement's team drop points against Dundee at Ibrox on Tuesday night.

Glasgow's east end is gearing up for a celebration and it seems star man Maeda is ready for it. Taking to X, he's confident the Hoops WILL be crowned champions by Wednesday, dismissing Killie's chances of turning up at Rugby Park and pooping the party. Should Rangers do their bit and Killie beat Celtic - which they have already done twice this season - they will be made to wait until the final game of the season to win the league officially.

But a cocky Maeda, quoting a tweet from the club congratulating him on his place in the SPFL Team of the Week, wrote: "We will be champions tomorrow!"
