Cody Rigsby and Andrew Chappelle’s ‘Tactful Pettiness’ Joins PodcastOne

Tactful Pettiness, a new cultural comedy podcast from friends and co-hosts Cody Rigsby and Andrew Chappelle, is joining PodcastOne in a deal brokered by Gersh.

PodcastOne will oversee the exclusive distribution, sales rights and production of the weekly podcast, which will debut on June 20 across all major podcasting platforms. New episodes will drop each Thursday.

Rigsby and Chappelle have a lot of opinions, on everything from grape jelly to wearing flip flops in public. Teaching the fine art of tactful pettiness, the duo will traverse the world of pop culture, chat with their celebrity friends, and show their audience how to accept themselves without taking life too seriously.

“We’ve been close friends for well over a decade now and are so excited to do this show together! We figured we spend so much time being tactfully petty already we might as well put some mics up and invite y’all in on the fun,” Rigsby and Chappell said. “Our audience can look forward to a hilarious, irreverent, edgy and passionate podcast to brighten their lives!”

Rigsby rose to fame as a high-energy, opinionated Peloton instructor. He was the second-runner up on the 30th season of “Dancing with Stars,” and co-hosted the GLAAD Media Awards. He recently became a New York Times best selling author with his debut book, “XOXO, CODY: An Opinionated Homosexual’s Guide to Self-Love, Relationships, and Tactful Pettiness.”

Chappelle is a queer, Black, and Indigenous creator whose television credits include “Blindspotting,” “Escape at Dannemora,” “Moesha” and “The Tick.” On Broadway, Andrew was part of the original cast of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton,” and also appeared in “&Juliet” and “Mamma Mia.” He also wrote and produced the short film “Fanatic,” directed by Taran Killam. He’s set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film “I’m Gonna Kill You,” which was awarded a production grant sponsored by Netflix after winning the “Pitch Please” competition at InsideOut.

“Cody and Andrew won us over from our very first conversation about developing a podcast. Their enthusiasm and energy is infectious and their quick takes are hilarious. We cannot wait to introduce some Tactful Pettiness into the world of podcasting,” said PodcastOne president and co-founder Kit Gray.

Both Rigsby and Chappelle were represented in the deal by Gersh and Weinstein Senior.
