Coleen Nolan 'embarrassed' by response after she shared skin cancer diagnosis
The star suggested what she was going through didn't compare to what her sister Linda is battling.
Coleen Nolan has confessed she was “embarrassed” after getting a huge response when she revealed she had skin cancer, considering her sister Linda is battling brain cancer.
Loose Women star Coleen, 58, told fans earlier this summer that she had been diagnosed with carcinoma on her shoulder and pre-melanoma on her face.
She was inundated with support from worried well-wishers but in a video on Instagram she assured everyone that she was okay, saying: “I don’t have dangerous skin cancer because I found it in time.”

Coleen has now told Metro that things went “a bit mad” after she spoke out about what she was going through.
“And then I felt embarrassed,” the presenter said.
“Because in the grand scheme of things of what people are going through, including my sister, who now has brain cancer.
“It was just all a bit too dramatic for me.
“I was like, ‘Guys, this is absolutely fine’.”
Linda, 64, was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017, after first fighting the disease 12 years earlier in 2005.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier this year, she told viewers that the cancer had spread to her brain but insisted that she was going to do her best to remain positive.
"That's obviously frightening because there isn't much treatment for brain cancer except for radiotherapy which I'm going to be having,” she said.
"I'm not giving up.”
Linda and Coleen also lost their 52-year-old sister Bernie to cancer in 2013.
And another sister, Anne, has fought cancer twice, although there was reason to celebrate last year when it was reported that the 72-year-old was in remission.
