Cologne Carnival in Full Swing Despite Large Numbers of COVID-19 Cases

People in Cologne, Germany, kicked off the city’s lengthy carnival season on November 11, despite a large number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

The Robert Koch Institute reported over 50,000 cases of coronavirus on Thursday. Cologne’s designated carnival “prince” Sven Oleff was forced to cancel his appearances at festivities after testing positive, The Local reported.
