Comedian Nish Kumar is bringing his “increasingly decrepit body” to Leicester for his UK stand up tour. The Mock the Week star has promised laughs in a bid to bring some cheer to the world.

Nish is a familiar face to many comedy viewers, becoming a regular on panel shows and programmes over the years. Alongside appearances on the BBC’s Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You, he went on to host The Mash Report and stars alongside fellow comic Josh Widdicombe in Sky’s journalist-themed comic roadtrip, Hold The Front Page.

Now Nish is coming to Leicester as part of his 2024 UK tour, ‘Nish, Don’t Kill My Vibe’. The highly political comedian will be at De Montfort Hall in September - just months after the UK went to the polls and just before the USA decides its next President - but is aiming to bring laughs and not policies to the stage.

Billed as “80 minutes of sweet, sweet vibe killing”, Nish’s show will aim to bring light to a year dominated by politics and much darker world events. He will also look to tackle climate collapse, income inequality and the emotional sensation of being a British Indian man who isn’t going to vote for a British Indian Prime Minister.

Nish said: “As the world collapses around us, I look forward to dragging my increasingly decrepit body out on tour and doing the only thing that still makes sense to me – stand up comedy.”

The UK tour kicks off at the Oxford Playhouse on Friday, September 6 and finishes at Southend’s Palace Theatre on Thursday, November 28. Tickets are now on sale ahead of his Leicester performance on Sunday, September 22 at De Montfort Hall. More information, including ticket prices, can be found on Nish’s website.
