Conor Murray and Joanna Cooper expecting first baby together one year after Portugal wedding

Munster and Ireland rugby star Conor Murray and Joanna Cooper are expecting their first child together.

Their exciting baby news comes just one year since the high profile couple tied the knot in a destination wedding.

They got married in front of their close friends and family, and sporting royalty, in June 2023.

Conor and Derry model Joanna announced they were having a baby in a joint Instagram post on Monday evening.

In a black and white video, Joanna could be seen showing off her growing baby bump. The model and businesswoman rested her hand on her beau's knee as he held her from behind.

They simply said: "Mom & Dad."

As expected, the parents to be were inundated with well-wishes from their followers.

One person said: "Cutest little bump so delighted for you both xx."

Another added: "Ohhh myyy! Huge congrats… I knew it"

A third said: "Ahhh @joannacoops so thrilled for you both."

One more went on to say: "Oh my gosh I am so so happy for you both."

Conor and Joanna said "I do" at the luxury Pine Cliffs resort in The Algarve in June 2023, surrounded by their friends and family.

Ahead of the overseas wedding they made things official in an intimate church ceremony with just Conor, Joanna, their two witnesses and their adorable dog Kevin.

Following their big day, Joanna explained: "Long story short, we actually had a church wedding a few weeks ago, just the two of us, wee Kev and our two witnesses."

The pair dating in 2018 after meeting each other on a night out in London. They then announced their engagement back in March 2022, after four years of dating, as the rugby player popped the question during a romantic holiday to Dubai.
