Cops searching for culprits after large cannabis farm discovered in house

Police are hunting for the criminals responsible for a large cannabis farm following a raid in Bolton. Officers descended on a house in Thicketford Road this afternoon (April 18) after receiving a tip-off from the community.

Greater Manchester Police says it found 72 plants in total. An image shared by the force shows rows of cannabis plants being grown under specialist lamps, with fans and other equipment being used.

Detectives are now hoping to trace the people responsible for the cannabis farm. A spokesperson for GMP Bolton North wrote on Facebook: "This afternoon, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have executed a drugs warrant at a house on Thicketford Road.

"A cannabis farm consisting of 72 plants was located. These have been seized and will be destroyed. Enquiries are on going to identify those responsible.
