Cops seize XL bully, drugs and bikes from house after woman and teen arrested

Police seized an XL bully from a house after a woman and a teenager were arrested.

The cops also removed large quantities of cannabis, six electric bikes and an offensive weapon from the property Huyton, Liverpool in an operation to root out serious and organised crime.

A 42-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were arrested for supplying cannabis, possession of criminal property and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and public order offence relating to a previous incident.

The pair have now been released under investigation after they were taken to a nearby police station for questioning.

The arrests were made as part of the ongoing work of Operation EVOLVE Liverpool-Knowsley, an initiative by Merseyside Police to prevent serious and organised crime.

Officers made two arrests after a search of a house in Huyton on Friday, April 2 as part of the work of Merseyside Police's Operation EVOLVE Liverpool-Knowsley, designed to prevent serious and organised crime.

Neighbourhood Inspector Jennifer Murray, one of the officers involved in EVOLVE Liverpool-Knowsley, said: “We know that those involved in the supply of illegal drugs bring misery to our communities.

“It is an illicit trade that is dependent on violence and intimidation and preys on the most vulnerable in our communities.“We are determined to remove drugs, and all those involved in its creation, supply and distribution from our streets.

“Our officers and partners are committed to making this happen, but we need your help to make a lasting difference.

“We are asking our communities to come forward with information, no matter how small, so that we can build cases that put offenders behind bars for many years.

“If, for whatever reason, you do not feel comfortable speaking to police you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously. While no-one will ever know you made that report, it will help us focus our attention where it will have the biggest impact.
