Cornish Love Island contestant 'vanishes' from villa

A Love Island contestant from Cornwall is causing quite a stir on the ITV show - but for a very unusual reason. Konnor Ewudzi, 28, joined the hit show as a bombshell ten days ago but fans are all asking the same question.

It's as the St Austell rugby player and barber has received very little airtime so far. Fuming fans of the show have accused producers of cutting vital scenes as Konnor, the only male contestant not coupled up, has barely appeared on our screens.

Some have gone as far as saying he's secretly left the show as they ask where he's gone. Occasionally appearing in the background of clips, barely any of his conversations have been aired so far despite being a prime contender in Casa Amor.

The Cornish native joined the villa on Monday (June 24) and has been single for a year and a half. Before switching his Instagram bio to "I’m off to find love in the @loveisland villa," his Instagram read: "Cuts hair and chats jibber-jabber," showing a glimpse of his charming personality.

But that's not all there is to the dazzling Cornish man. Konnor works as a model, his social media acts as his portfolio for his talent and beauty featuring posts from various photoshoots. Despite this, fans of the show have had very little chance to get to know the contestant.

Viewers have taken to X to air concerns over the "missing" and "vanished" Love Islander. Despite six spicy new lads and lasses being added to the mix in Casa Amor, Konnor has not been shown to connect with any of the single ladies so far.

On Tuesday (July 2) night's episode, a challenge called Raunchy Racers saw the islanders getting cosy with the new contestants but once again, Konnor didn't feature. Among some of the comments were: "Can. We. See. More. Of. Konnor . Please. And. Thank. You. #LoveIsland," and "Another night where they pretend Konnor doesn't exist? Does he even participate in the show? #loveIsland."

Another fan chimed in: "Nah the producers must hate Konnor, why isn't he getting airtime? Even the Casa boys are getting more airtime than him #loveisland."

Last night (July 3) there was more of the same reaction despite some more brief glimpses of the bombshell and some quick conversations as he set his eye on Casa Amor girl Emma and shared a cheeky smooch.

"Can we have a welfare check for Konnor please?" asked one viewer. "Why haven’t I seen a single bit of Konnor this entire casa amor when he’s literally a main islander… like who is he gonna couple up with," said another.

It's as Harriet and Ronnie, the first couple to be dumped from the villa, told HeatWorld what the mysterious contestant is really like. Harriett told the magazine: "He's so lovely, bless him. He was always really lovely when we were in the villa."

She said she felt he needed to "speak up a bit more" and "get his graft on". She said he feared he didn't feel like there was any connection with anyone in the villa, something Casa Amor might change.
