Yahoo News Coronation Street to bring back absent character in Faye story
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street brings back Gary Windass tonight (May 17) following his recent break from screens.
Gary has been absent from the ITV soap since the end of February, so hasn't been around for the build-up to Faye Windass' exit from the show.
In Wednesday's episode, Gary returns to screens and spots the tell-tale signs that something is bothering Faye.

Viewers know that Faye is struggling with the news that Jackson Hodge and their daughter Miley will soon be moving to Slough together.
Faye is still in a relationship with Craig Tinker, but she has started to secretly wonder whether her future should be with Jackson instead.
The show's latest episode sees Miley ask for Faye's help with putting together her family tree for school.
Faye and Gary both step in to join Miley and Jackson as they work on the project.

Jackson warmly praises Faye and she clearly enjoys his flattery, which doesn't go unnoticed by Gary. Will he soon step in and offer Faye some brotherly advice?
Gary's break from the Street spotlight followed a busy period for him at the start of the year, as he supported his wife Maria Connor through the harassment she was receiving from far-right gang leader Griff Reynolds and her political rival Len Cameron.
Gary and Maria also befriended young refugee Daryan Zahawi, who left the Street to go looking for his brother.

Corrie bosses have recently confirmed that Faye's final scenes will air next week, as Ellie Leach bows out from the role.
Faye's dilemma will come to a head on the day that Jackson and Miley are due to leave for Slough.
Ellie recently told us: "Faye does love Craig, but she's not in love with him anymore. Jackson has come in and said: 'This is what I want, I want you, I want this family. Come and move with us and we can be a family together'.
"It's hard for Faye because it's a question of – do you go with your head or heart?"
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
