Yahoo News Coronation Street fans spot Nicky's error as they say 'she knows' after Bethany 'messes up'
Coronation Street fans have pointed out Nicky Wheatley's error and say Bethany Platt also 'messed up' as they try to help Daniel Osbourne, who remains a suspect in Lauren Bolton's disappearance case.
The teen went missing at the end of February after being sacked from her job at Roy's Rolls by Roy Cropper. The cafe owner later visited her with her wages and some extra cash to tide her over. But soon after, the teen was visited at home by a mystery person who viewers of the ITV soap never got to see and she hasn't been seen since.
It was new love interest and Carla Connor's nephew Bobby who found her flat unlocked and eerily empty. While Bobby did report Lauren as missing to the police, it wasn't until Sean Tully was viewing the flat and revealed he'd spotted blood on the curtains, which was later confirmed as being Lauren's, the missing person case became a murder probe.

It's Roy who has so far found himself behind bars charged with Lauren's murder and as his friends protest his innocence, the questions over what has happened to Lauren and whether she is alive or not still remain. But Daniel is still worried having been questioned about his relationship to Lauren and enlisted the help of friend and former sex worker Nicky.
During Wednesday night's (May 8) Corrie, viewers saw Bethany Platt becaome the first to spot her groomer Nathan Curtis as a free man during a reconstruction of Lauren's last movements. Daniel assured her that Nathan was in prison and it was her mind playing tricks but Bethany was still on edge.
So when Nicky called round and revealed that she was off to meet a girl called Ellie who was groomed as a teenager and might have information about Lauren, Bethany followed.
She ended up disrupting Nicky's chat with the vulnerable woman, mentioning Nathan and that she knows what she's going through. Ellie ran away and Nicky was furious that she jeopardised her position of helping sex workers but Bethany was still convinced that Nathan is hiding something to do with Lauren.
But Corrie fans were keen to point out that Nicky wasn't exactly discreet in terms of where she decided to meet Ellie. @itzzzo_ said: "Private conversation with a vulnerable girl in a public place, so Bethany can come waltzing in and fuck everything up as per #Corrie."
@RyanTheSoapking commented: "This is a very public place to have a private chat Nicky #Corrie." @ConversationStr posted: "Who else knows about this meeting? Absolutely nobody because we’re holding it in the most secure and private place in all of Weatherfield. #corrie #coronationstreet." @corriepodcast added: "Well, Nicky, maybe if you had shown up AFTER your meeting with Ellie all of this could’ve been avoided, Mrs Cart Before The Horse. #corrie."
Meanwhile, fans are sure Ellie knows something. @AjEasmon said: "A BIG mess-up by Bethany but I sense that girl knows something about Lauren or Nathan #Corrie." @mikepriestley13 posted: "That girl knows what’s happened to Lauren 100%. #Corrie."
