Coronation Street fans spotted Lauren return clue before reveal as they issue Roy Cropper plea

Coronation Street fans think they spotted a clue about Lauren Bolton's sudden return ahead of it happening as share the same plea over Roy Cropper. The teen hasn't been seen since she suddenly disappeared from Weatherfield on February 23 after being sacked from her job at Roy's Rolls.

The café owner later visited her with her wages and some extra cash to tide her over. But soon after, the teen was visited at home by a mystery person, who viewers never got to see, and she hasn't been seen since. Roy then found himself being charged with Lauren's murder after blood was found in the flat his misguidedly cleaned as a favour to sub-letter Evelyn Plummer.

But as Corrie fans have since found out, it was Joel Deering who was Lauren's 'secret boyfriend', giving her money and showering her with gifts, only to turn on her with flashback scenes in May showing him beating her with a chair leg.

Viewers of the ITV soap were then left in the dark over whether Lauren had survived the ordeal until Monday night's (July 8) episode when she appeared distraught as she came to Roy Cropper's bedside after he collapsed in his beloved café and had to be given CPR.

It's already been revealed that in upcoming scenes, Joel learns that Lauren is back on the scene and he worries about what this could mean for the life he has built for himself in Weatherfield and will lead to viewers discovering the truth about what happened with Lauren.

But after Lauren was unveiled as being Roy's mystery visitor, Corrie fans took to social media as they think they'd spotted a clue she would be back in an earlier scenes, in which Roy was worryingly being tended to by paramedics as he suffered a heart attack following a run-in with a group of yobs.

@our_new_home___ said: "He had a heart attack after she turned up at the café and she called the ambulance?! That’s how she knew to go to the hospital!" Lucy Tucker wrote on Facebook: "When Roy was being stretchered out of the café the camera zoomed on "Lauren's missing" photo, I knew then it was her that called the ambulance after he had a heart attack when he saw her, she must've come back after seeing the video online.

Meanwhile, @DylanQuinn_ asked: "Did Roy have a heart attack after seeing Lauren? She called the ambulance? #Corrie." @suebaggy added: "So no surprises that Lauren is alive but I wonder if she called the ambulance for Roy #Corrie."

Others, however, were left sharing a plea about Roy. @priya_kaur_uk said: "Oh please give Roy a break! #Corrie." @tina.b93x wrote: "I'm sorry could please let Roy have a happier series please this absolutely terrible." @clairehewick37 added: "Couldn’t give a flying fuck about Lauren plz let Roy have happy ever after with Evelyn."
