Coronation Street favourite's forgotten Emmerdale role celebrated in throwback photo

Many of you will recognise Daniel Brocklebank as Billy Mayhew but might have forgotten his spell in Emmerdale.

Since 2014, Daniel, 44, has been a regular on the cobbles. Although, soapland wouldn’t be soapland without the acting fave having a spell in a rival series.

Between 2005 and 2006, Daniel played Ivan Jones in Emmerdale. The character was only supposed to appear for three episodes but Daniel impressed bosses and was made a regular.

During his spell in the soap, Ivan had a relationship with villager Paul Lambert. In 2006, it was reported Actor Daniel had decided to leave Emmerdale.

He said: "I originally came in to do just three episodes, so to stay for a year-and-a-half has been great. I'm pleased that I'll be leaving Ivan behind on a high note, as I've really enjoyed playing him."

Recently, Daniel posted on Instagram about his spell in Emmerdale. Posting, having discovered his appearance on Classic Emmerdale, Daniel said: “Today Ivan Jones entered #ClassicEmmerdale. I’m now officially running in two amazing shows on @itv. Here’s me at 24 and 44.”

Elsewhere in his career, Daniel has appeared in TV shows Holby City, The Bill and Casualty as well as films The Hole and Shakespeare in Love.
