Coronation Street first look at Carla Barlow's return in Stephen story
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street villain Stephen Reid is rattled as Carla Barlow makes a return to the cobbles next week.
Stephen recently went to disturbing lengths to take Carla's place at Underworld – secretly spiking her drinks with LSD for several weeks.
As Stephen had predicted, Carla and her loved ones started to worry that her psychosis had returned when she experienced frightening side-effects from the drugs.

After a final incident where Stephen caused a fire at Carla's flat while she was sleeping, she agreed to go to stay at a psychiatric clinic for a while.
In Carla's absence, the Underworld staff have voted to put Stephen in charge of the business.
As the staff are also shareholders in the business, this has involved driving through a vote of no confidence in Carla.
In next week's episodes, Carla returns from the clinic and immediately receives an apology from Paul Foreman, who recently threatened to sue her for knocking him over while driving the Underworld van.

Carla forgives Paul and makes it clear that there are no hard feelings.
Over at the factory, Stephen deals with the pressures of being in charge when Michael Bailey asks for a cut of the profits from Nippersnapper sales.

Michael puts forward his case, but it's clear that Stephen isn't really listening as he's distracted by the surprise arrival of Carla.
Stephen fears the implications for himself now that Carla is back, but can he find a way to stay one step ahead?
