On the agenda in Weatherfield this week: an engagement, an exit, a shock resignation and a surprise proposition – read on for all the latest Coronation Street spoilers for the 5-9 July 2021.
Todd and Billy get engaged
After Paul accompanies Summer to her diabetes appointment, a put-out Todd decides to demonstrate to the teen that he can be trusted.
Returning home, he proposes to Billy, but fans can expect the pair’s happiness to be short-lived. Paul is quick to tell his ex that if he marries Todd, he’ll live to regret it. And no sooner has the engagement been announced than Todd finds a note on the porch that reads, “Don’t get too comfortable. Your lies will come out.”

Izzy’s behaviour is a cause for concern
The work of factory machinist Izzy isn’t up to scratch and Carla thinks the current situation is untenable: either she returns to work or they’ll have to get rid of her.
But some Facetime calls throw up some unexpected issues – first, when Sarah clocks a mysterious man lurking in the background of the video and then, later, when Izzy takes back control and makes the shock announcement that she’s actually resigning from her job!
Daisy makes a move on Ryan
Alya is convinced that Daisy is making a play for her boyfriend, what with the little minx having come up with the idea of a mobile pub and DJ, with Ryan booked to provide the music.
And by Friday, viewers will also see that Daisy definitely wants to mix business with pleasure when she lures Ryan into the Rovers’ backroom, plies him with drinks and asks him which cocktail he’d prefer – the Naggy Girlfriend or the Night of Wild Passion?
Gail heads overseas
Following her recent attack, Gail announces that she’s headed to Thailand and doesn’t know when she’ll be back. It’s news that leaves Sam feeling upset and he rushes out of No 8, having only called round to give his granny a get well soon card.
Recognising that Sam is feeling disoriented due to the disruption, Leanne ends up pleading with Natasha to let Nick be a part of Sam’s life for both their sakes. And, thankfully, Natasha ends up relenting, all of which results in the Platt clan banding together to wave Gail off.
Tyrone has news for the girls
Tyrone’s life has been something of a whirlwind of late, what with his decision to leave his life at No 9 behind, move in with Alina and then discover that his abusive ex-partner Kirsty had died.
Now, Alina’s pregnancy has become the latest focus, with Fiz set to issue Ty with an ultimatum: either he tells the girls about the baby, or she will. So, on Monday, Tyrone breaks the news to Hope and Ruby that they’re soon going to have a little brother or sister. But what reaction will he get?
