Yahoo News Coronation Street legend confirmed for Deal or No Deal special
Deal or No Deal is set to return for another special – and the gameshow has signed up a Coronation Street legend.
The show recently returned to screens after seven years off air, with Stephen Mulhern taking over as host from Noel Edmonds.
ITV has now confirmed that a new celebrity special will air following the recent Christmas edition, with Corrie's own Simon Gregson set to appear.

The Steve McDonald actor's episode will air on January 7.
A recent celebrity special saw former footballer Michael Owen take part, while the main revived show aired between November and December last year.
Mulhern – who has also just been confirmed as the new Dancing on Ice co-host – was announced as the new Deal or No Deal presenter early last year.
The star said at the time: "Wow what an opportunity, I’m beyond excited to be hosting the brand-new series. I’ve always been such a huge fan of the show, so much so, I’ve been practising at home with small cereal boxes!

"It looks so simple but it's an incredibly compelling game for both those playing and the viewers watching at home. It’s one of the greatest shows of all time and to be the new host is an honour! I can’t wait to get started."
Meanwhile, back in October Simon reflected on his original first 10 years on Coronation Street in the 1990s, admitting he found them "hell".
"At the beginning, my character wasn't very well-liked," he told Irish TV show Livin' With Lucy. "That reflected in your real life. The first ten years were hell."
However, he admitted he enjoys working on the show much more these days, noting that "the pros outweigh the cons the older you get and the longer you've been in the show".
Deal or No Deal will air its celebrity special on January 7 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX. Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
