Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has lined up danger for Nick Tilsley in Damon Hay's return plot.
Viewers will remember that Nick was finally standing up to Damon over the latter's plot to run drugs through the bistro when Damon was finally busted by Weatherfield police.
Since then, Nick has been on the outs with son Sam and partner Leanne because he had to admit he'd known about Damon's connections to drug boss Harvey. While Nick assumed that Damon would be out of the way for good now, he gets a frightening reality check when Damon resurfaces in Weatherfield.
In scenes airing soon, Nick will be horrified when he finds Damon is out of prison and back in the bistro. Damon reveals he has just hired a well-known solicitor to ensure his financial stake in the business.
Nick is floored when he realises that Adam Barlow is the lawyer that Damon has been boasting about hiring, leaving the two on the outs over Adam choosing fast cash over loyalty.
Damon's gloating doesn't last long when attorney Dee-Dee Bailey warns him that he's not likely to remain a free man for long because the person who reported him was well-prepared with evidence.
This makes Damon even more volatile because he's determined to take his revenge against Nick for grassing him up to the cops.
Damon goes straight to the bistro, where he corners Nick in the back office and closes the door.
How far is Damon willing to go in order to get his revenge?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
