Yahoo News Coronation Street reveals Bethany's return storyline
Coronation Street teen Bethany Platt will return to Weatherfield next week, just in time to support her troubled friend Mary Taylor.
Bethany (Lucy Fallon) has been enjoying some much-needed time away from the Cobbles in recent weeks, having extended her holiday in Milan.
Sarah's announcement that Bethany would be staying abroad for the foreseeable future sparked speculation from worried fans that she might not be returning to the Street at all.
Thankfully, it's since been confirmed that we will be definitely be seeing Bethany again – and we can now reveal that she'll be back on our screens as soon as next week.
Bethany will undoubtedly be arriving back in Weatherfield hoping for a fresh start after her harrowing grooming ordeal with evil Nathan Curtis, but that doesn't mean she'll be free from drama completely.
With Mary in the middle of a devastating ordeal of her own, Bethany becomes determined to return the favour to her friend and help in any way she can.
We've already revealed how Mary will face a backlash from her family after she's accused of harming her grandson George, and it's Bethany who she ends up pouring her heart out to.
Wanting to put Mary's mind at ease over George's condition, Bethany offers to nip to the hospital and await news on the youngster, but the pair's plan goes awry when Angie spots Mary in the car park. How will Angie react? And could Bethany find herself in trouble so soon after arriving home?
