It is child protection officer Caitlin, who’s deeply unimpressed when she takes in the scene before her.
Daniel catches Ryan out on camera
Ryan is practising on camera for a job interview at the gym, but his prep is interrupted by Daisy, who calls round to tell them that Crystal is suspicious of what’s going on between them.
Oblivious to the fact that the camera is still rolling, Ryan then admits his feelings for Daisy and tells her the sex they had was fantastic. But when Simon returns home, Daisy makes a swift exit.
However, when Ryan also heads off to work, Simon clocks the camera, watches the incriminatory footage and sends it to Daniel, who’s left devastated when he realises that Daisy has cheated on him. But what will he do with this new-found information?
Nina’s fears are confirmed
When Asha meets up with Isla to study, she’s shocked when Isla says she’d rather spend the day getting drunk in the Bistro. But once tipsy, Isla confides that her ex-boyfriend is pestering her, only she’s gone off men and is thinking of trying women instead.
When Nina later arrives on the scene, she’s troubled to find Asha and Isla giggling and taking hold of each other’s hands across the table.
By Wednesday, though, the pair are sober once more and Isla is admitting to Asha that she likes her, but respects the fact that she’s with Nina. In her opinion, it’d be best to switch mentors.
Asha then talks to Nina and says that she’s requested to work with a different crew because Isla has a crush on her – but the news just ends up confirming Nina’s fears about the situation.
Evelyn takes on a bully
When Evelyn spots a guy mistreating his dog, she intervenes. But when Roy comes to Evelyn’s aid, the dog owner Terry gives him a mouthful instead.
Cassie then comes to the rescue of Evelyn and Roy, who films Terry and the dog on Evelyn’s phone. And following this showdown, Tyrone reports Terry to the police.
Events then take a surprising turn on Friday when Evelyn notices Terry pulling up outside the charity shop and leaving his dog alone in the van.
Evelyn then hears the hound whimpering and makes a decision – but how will Roy react when she returns home with the dog in tow?
Cassie is a bad influence on Hope
When Cassie suggests that they throw a party for Hope’s birthday, Ty reckons it’s a great idea. But Hope herself doesn’t seem very keen.
However, on the big day, Cassie secretly tells Hope that she doesn’t need to go to school as she has a better idea. That idea being to go and get nose studs!
The trouble is, when Tyrone finds out, he’s left horrified and, after realising that Hope has bunked off school, he grounds her for a month.
Coronation Street airs on ITV Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and streams on ITVX.
