Yahoo News Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote shares exciting career update
Coronation Street's Georgia May Foote has given fans an update on her next career move, alongside her usual onscreen work.
The actor starred as Katy Armstrong in the soap between 2010 and 2015. After leaving the show, she competed in Strictly Come Dancing in the same year alongside professional Giovanni Pernice, where she placed as a runner-up.
Now, she has given fans an insight into her next project as she opens her own business as a nail technician.
Posting a photo on social media of herself in a pink salon beaming at the camera, she revealed the name of her new business, GMF Nails, and said she is now "taking on clients".

"It's been over two years since I qualified as a nail tech and it's been the best two years getting to know you all!" she continued.
"I spent the last two years working with some amazing girls who have now become lifelong friends, who taught me everything I needed to know, and gave me the confidence to do everything you guys throw at me! Over 3 months ago I took the plunge to move into somewhere a bit more intimate, working alongside another incredible nail tech and I absolutely love our new little space guys!"
Despite the move into the world of beauty, Georgia assured fans that acting will remain in her future.
"As you may know, acting is my main career and always will be," she went on to say. "But nails give me that little bit of head space and security most actors need! I am very grateful you have all supported me every time I have had to run off to film something! It means a lot when you are proud!"

"I am now open to taking on new clients and looking forward to meeting many more of you! Thanks for everything guys."
Georgia is best known for playing Alison Simmons in the BBC school drama series Grange Hill from 2005 to 2008 before she joined the cast of Corrie.
In her role as Katy, the character made waves on the soap as she embarked on a relationship with Chesney Brown leading to the pair welcoming baby Joseph into the world.
After reconciling with her absent mother Linda Hancock, Katy exited the soap as she flew to Portugal to join her. However, news soon reached the cobbles that Katy had been killed in a car accident in 2017, leading Joseph to return to live with Chesney.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
