Yahoo News Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon celebrates relationship milestone
Coronation Street actress Samia Longchambon has celebrated a major relationship milestone.
The actress, who plays Maria Connor on the ITV soap, uploaded a photo of herself and her husband Sylvain enjoying some drinks in Manchester to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary. The couple first met 10 years ago, when they were paired with each other on the 2013 series of Dancing on Ice.
Samia captioned the image: "Last night was gorgeous... the food, the drinks and especially the company... deserves a square on the grid! Happy anniversary to us. #7years #marriedlife #loml."

Fellow Corrie stars Jane Danson, Sally Carman and Tina O'Brien congratulated them on their milestone in the comments, with the latter saying: "Happy anniversary you gorgeous pair".
After skating together on Dancing on Ice, Samia and Sylvain welcomed their son Yves Joseph Longchambon in 2015, and tied the knot the next year.
Meanwhile, Samia's Corrie character Maria has been involved in the far-right extremism storyline this year, with her role as a councillor involved in refugee programs and diversifying the community making her a target.
With such prominent storylines, Samia previously explained that she would like to continue playing the character for another 20 years, stating: "I'm happy at Coronation Street and it would be nice to see what Maria is doing when she's in her 60s. She'll probably be doing similar stuff to what she's doing now... making terrible decisions over men.

"I don't think Maria has gone out on purpose to try to get as many notches on her bedpost as she can," Samia added. "She's just a bit of a hopeless romantic who has just been searching for her prince all these years. She chooses the wrong guys. She's been out with murderers, she's been cheated on so many times and she's had affairs. She definitely doesn't have the best track record."
Her character Maria is currently married to Gary Windass, who certainly has his history as a bad boy, causing trouble in their relationship, but for the time being he seems to be a reformed character.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
