Coronation Street stars 'excited' as Sair Khan issues 'last minute' update

Coronation Street stars have shared their excitement as Alya Nazir actress Sair Khan prepares to have a baby.

The 36-year-old has been in the long-running ITV soap since 2014. Away from Weatherfield, the actress keeps her many fans updated on Instagram and back in December she shared that she is pregnant with her first child.

Sharing a photo of herself, holding her baby bump, and partner Nathan Chilton, in a post at the time Sair said: "We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024".

In a new update on Wednesday, the popular soap star shared a number of photos and videos after having a "babymoon" at a spa hotel. In the snaps, Sair could be seen cradling her blossoming bump, sitting in an empty birthing pool, and dancing with her partner Nathan.

Part of the post's caption said Sair and Nathan had been on a "last minute babymoon" as she added: "I can’t believe I only managed to fit in one pregnancy massage this whole time. But it was 1000% times worth it. #giftedstay".

Sair also said she and Nathan are getting ready for "our lil Spring awakening" [sic] and said she is "trying my best to keep it moving with the most gentle of walks". The actress' Corrie co-stars have rushed to wish her well in the comments section.

Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, said: "Gorgeous! So excited for you both", while former Emma Brooker star Alexandra Mardell said: "Gorgeous!!!! Eeeeeeeee so excited" [sic]. Katie McGlynn, who previously played Sinead Tinker, said: "Love this! So excited for you both! Beautiful"
