Coronation Street's Cassie Plummer faces guilt over Evelyn arrest
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has aired shocking scenes of Cassie Plummer attacking her mum's nemesis Terry.
It had been an eventful week for Cassie, as she'd continued her vendetta against Abi Webster by photographing her buying drugs. Once she told Kevin what she'd seen, Abi explained she'd bought the drugs for Paul Foreman to help with his end-of-life plan.
Wednesday's (January 10) episode saw Cassie attempting to get even with Terry by breaking into his house to save the puppies he was illegally breeding.
However, Cassie was soon tempted when she discovered a massive bag of cash that Terry had been keeping from his dodgy dealings.
Terry returned home as Cassie was trying to rescue the puppies, forcing her to hide. Terry was irate to see some of the puppies had got out, and as he went to grab them, Cassie bashed him across the back of the head.
The next time viewers saw Cassie, she was back on the cobbles explaining to Abi and Kevin why she hadn't turned up for work that day.
The Websters agreed to give Cassie one more chance to prove herself at work, but as they walked away, Cassie pulled out a wad of cash she'd stolen from Terry's home.
At the same time, Craig Tinker turned up at Roy's Rolls to speak with Evelyn since she'd been seen having a heated row with Terry before he was attacked.
Cassie arrived at the cafe just in time to see her mother being led away in a police car. She was stunned as Roy explained Evelyn was being questioned about a "serious assault" on Terry.
Evelyn was horrified to realise she was being questioned under caution for a suspected assault. Tyrone admitted he was frightened Evelyn could be charged, even though she couldn't have put Terry in hospital.
Will Cassie come clean over what she's done?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
