Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney coos over Ricky Hatton as they jet off on holiday

Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney appears smitten as she jetted off for her latest sun-soaked getaway with Ricky Hatton. The pair were first suspected of being in a new relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates throughout spring.

Actress Claire and boxer Ricky, who met when taking part in Dancing on Ice 2024, then stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time in May as they enjoyed the first opening night of Manchester's new £365m Co-op Live Arena.

They both posted photos on their Instagram accounts after posing together at the press boards for celebs and VIPs at the new arena's welcome event before a string of cancelled or postponed shows followed. And fans were quick to admire what a "gorgeous" and "beautiful" couple boxer Ricky and actress Claire looked like while they were also branded a "match made in heaven".

Then a couple of months after the new couple enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Tenerife, the pair are back abroad and have headed over to Mallorca. Ricky, aka 'The Hitman', took to social media to give a glimpse at the clear blue skies above one of Spain's Balearic Islands.

Claire herself has since taken to social media, sharing a picture of herself and Ricky with his family as they sat outside a bar. "With @rickyhitmanhatton family xx," the 53-year-old wrote alongside a snap of the group. She then followed up the post with a shot of a smiling Ricky, alongside which she tagged the 45-year-old and added a red heart emoji.

Last month, Ricky was asked about his and Claire's first holiday together as he hit the red carpet at the Bafta Television Awards 2024 after his Sky documentary, Hatton, was up for a gong..

Speaking to The Sun, Ricky said: "It was great! Claire is like me, I’ve met someone who I get on with like a house on fire. She is just like me. We spend our whole time laughing together. Claire is just like me - she’s so down to earth." He added: "She would never turn a picture down with a fan and she’s always got time for people. That’s what I really like about her. We’ve just been having good fun."

And while Claire wasn't by his side on the night, the actress, currently playing Cassie Plummer in ITV's Corrie, did share a message on social media at the time which read: "Good luck tonight darling @bafta. So proud of you @rickhitmanhatton."
