Coronation Street's Claire Sweeney and boxer Ricky Hatton are proving to be each other's biggest supporters ever since they seemingly went public with their new romance. The pair were first suspected of being in a new relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates throughout spring.

Claire and Ricky, who met when taking part in Dancing on Ice 2024, then stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time last month in May as they enjoyed the first opening night of the £365m Co-op Live Arena.

The new couple have since enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Tenerife and Claire supported her new man from a distance last month when he was seen on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards 2024 after his Sky documentary, Hatton, was up for a gong.

And Ricky, aka 'The Hitman', is often seen reciprocating his public support for Claire with the latest coming over the weekend as she shared a glimpse at her latest magazine appearances. The soap star, who is currently playing Cassie Plummer in Corrie, was talking to media about her latest ITV soap plot.

Captioning her cover moment, Claire, 53, said: "Talking all about Cassie becoming Ken’s carer, and fun and games with Steve McDonald. @coronationstreet @melanieblakeuk @dailymirror." And Ricky, 45, was quickly in the comments, writing: "Beautiful babe," to which Claire responded with a red heart emoji.

But Claire has since shared some less positive news with her many social media followers. Sharing a photo of her face on Instagram, the former Brookside star said: "Having the worst flair up on my skin with my peri oral dermatitis. Please does anyone know a magic cure. It’s so sore!"

Her friends and followers were quick to respond with their remedies as well as wishing for her skin to quickly recover. West End star Kerry Ellis said: "Ouch your poor thing …. Hope your ok xx water water and more water." @julescocktails wrote: "Hope it clears for you very soon."
