Coronation Street's Lisa George shares news of 'amazing' reunion after four years as she leaves UK with co-star

Coronation Street star Lisa George was all smiles as she shared news of an 'amazing' reunion she enjoyed after leaving the UK with her co-star. The actress headed to Canada last week alongside soap castmate Mollie Gallagher.

Back in May, Lisa, who is known for playing Beth Sutherland in the ITV soap, told fans to 'watch out' as she confirmed that she and Mollie heading the 4,000 miles to meet fans of the show. Cast members sometimes host meet and greets after the Canadian fans travel to the UK in a pilgrimage to the set at MediaCityUK in Trafford.

And on Friday, Lisa shared a snap of herself and Mollie, who plays Corrie's Nina Lucas, and told her fans and followers: "And boarding!! Bon voyage! See you soon #Canada #Corrietour #girlsontour." Mollie, meanwhile, shared a picture to her own Instagram Story showing the two Corrie stars on the plane. Giving peace signs for the camera, the actress said: "Canada here we come."

The pair have since been sharing updates with Lisa seen posing outside one of their theatre venues in London, Ontario where Beth and Nina's names could be seen up on the showing board.

Alongside the post, the soap star wrote: "Yesterday arrived @atthepalace for our first show in London, Ontario- most welcoming and gorgeous audience - thank you to the #canadianfans for such a warm response. We had a blast!! Onto #Toronto today for the next show ….. #canada #ontario #london."

But it appears it hasn't been all work on the trip as Lisa found herself reunited with her former Dancing on Ice co-star Alexander Demetriou. Sharing a picture of herself and Mollie out with Alexander and his wife, Julia, she said: "How amazing is this?"

She continued: "Finally after 4 years I got to catch up with the fabulous ice skaters @alixdemi and his beautiful wife @juliademi28 for a couple of hours - haven’t seen @alixdemi since we worked together on @dancingonice and it was WONDERFUL!!!

"They now live in Canada so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to catch up!! Such gorgeous talented people and I was made up to reconnect again. Thanks guys for a fabulous evening!!! Xx #friends #iceskating #professionalskaters #catchup #tacos #canada #canada #hamiltonontario."
