Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon issues six-word response after being busted by co-star over move on soap set

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon was quick to jokingly defend herself after being busted by her co-star getting a bit sleepy on set. The actress reprised her role in the ITV soap as Bethany Platt just a few months ago with the character making her reappearance just as the New Year arrived in Weatherfield.

As soon as she stepped foot back into Weatherfield, the returnee caught the eye of former flame Daniel Osbourne and it wasn't long before they were finishing where they once left off - ruffling the feathers of his recent ex-fiancee Daisy Midgeley.

She also caused drama when after discovering details of Daniel's complicated history with Daisy and Ryan Connor after being involved in a horrifying acid attack at the hands of Daisy's stalker Justin Rutherford, she realised that it's the perfect story to sell to gossip magazine Chit Chat amid her financial woes.

She's now supporting Daniel as he finds himself a suspect in the disappearance of Lauren Bolton, but not as much as a suspect as Roy Cropper who has already in fact been charged with the teenager's murder.

But it appears Blackpool-born Lucy is feeling the effects of being a mum-of-one and full-time actress. The soap star welcomed her first child into the world with her partner Ryan Ledson last year with little Sonny Jude celebrating his first birthday back in February.

Taking to Instagram, Lucy's co-star Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee Dee Bailey, shared a video of Lucy on her Story in which the 28-year-old could be seen sitting in Roy's Rolls café with her head on the wooden table.

Channique and Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith appeared to startle her, as she waited for her next scenes, causing Lucy to jump up and laugh when she realised she'd been caught snoozing on the job.

Captioning the post which she reshared, Channique said: "Not Fallon matching some beauty sleep in between takes." Lucy then reshared the post in view of her own followers and said: "It's been a long week guys".

It comes after Lucy recently realised her own Corrie milestone. Taking to Instagram late last month she shared a picture from her first appearance in Corrie when Behtny was recast back in 2015.

"9 years ago today since my first ep aired @coronationstreet," she wrote alongside the dramatic snap which showed Bethany launching a vase, seemingly in the direction of Gery Windass, while her uncle David Platt dived out of the way. "So happy to be back home," she shared before jokingly adding: "Also smashing up the Platts was a huge slay."
