Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Yasmeen Metcalfe will learn about Elaine Jones' disappearance.

Last month, Yasmeen (Shelley King) was visited by Elaine (Paula Wilcox) in prison. Elaine revealed to Yasmeen that she's an ex-partner of Geoff and that she too experienced abuse by him.

Elaine wants to help Yasmeen clear her name, but in scenes airing next week, Yasmeen finds out from Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that Elaine has been reported missing.

Alya pays her grandmother a visit in hospital when she shares her and Sally's suspicions that Geoff might have harmed Elaine.

Yasmeen responds by saying that she would rather stay in prison while Geoff is out there, as she feels safer inside.

Elsewhere, Sally offers Alya the wedding money given by Geoff, pointing out that the money actually belonged to Yasmeen and that Alya could use it to buy Geoff out at Speed Daal.

During last night's episode (August 3), viewers saw Geoff dragging Elaine into an alley and demanding that she stays away from her son Tim. Although the episode did not show what happened next, Geoff was later seen with a big smile as he destroyed the SIM card inside Elaine's phone.

Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) saw the confrontation from a distance.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV.
