Coronavirus LIVE: North London GP surgery closes doors as patients leave quarantine in Merseyside

More than 80 people quarantined on the Wirral will be spending their first night at home tonight after being allowed to leave following 14 days in isolation.

The group, the first to be flown out of Wuhan city in China by the Foreign Office over coronavirus, emerged from Arrowe Park Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

It came as GP surgery in north London was closed due to "operational reasons". The Ritchie Street Health Centre announced it would be closed until Friday and posted a warning on its website saying it was "due to coronavirus".

It also emerged that London's first confirmed case showed up to A&E in Lewisham in an Uber and was swiftly sent home to be self-quarantined by members of staff. The woman, a Chinese national, is currently being treated for the illness at Guy's and St Thomas' hospital.
