Corrections and clarifications

• Our obituary of the actor Leslie Phillips (9 November, Journal, p6) referred to Caroline Mortimer as John Mortimer’s daughter; to clarify, she was his stepdaughter.

• An editorial (The Bank of England’s rate rises put it on the side of profit, not people, 3 November, Journal, p2) said that commercial banks get paid more to hold “risk-free gilts”; the reference should have been to “reserves”.
