Yahoo News Corrie reveals Jan Lozinski's backstory – but is he still lying to Eileen?
Coronation Street's Eileen Grimshaw started to wonder whether there was more to Jan Lozinski's past than he'd previous let on tonight (July 15), after an awkward moment with Paula Martin led her to believe the lawyer knows her new lodger-turned-lover.
Turning to her friend for advice, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) met Liz McDonald in The Rovers to question whether things with Jan (Piotr Baumann) were too good to be true.
But Eileen's doubts were amplified when Paula rocked up to the pub and shadily shook off Eileen's quizzing about their earlier encounter.

"I'm not saying he's a psycho," Eileen explained. "It's just that Paula must know a lot of dodgy characters and maybe he's one of them."
"Maybe she's just friendly and was just saying 'hi'," assured Liz (Beverley Callard). "Give the poor bloke a chance and stop going all Big Brother on 'im."
But Liz wasn't as convinced as she made out and Googled Jan later, having told Eileen not to earlier. Online, she discovered that her pal's boyfriend used to be a drug dealer.
Liz was quick to tell Eileen, who was quick to confront Jan, catching him in a lie when she suggested that they go to Poland to visit his mother at the weekend – knowing his legal status won't currently let him leave the country.
"It was valium, and it was once," he insisted, explaining that he got involved in narcotics after his father died and his family were left with no money. "It wasn't heroin or cocaine. I'm still a good man."
But Eileen urged him to leave her house immediately. Although, she didn't seem so sure when she met back up with the girls in The Rovers later as she ultimately decided to look past Jan's past.

She may come to regret it, though.
As the episode closed, Jan made a phone call to someone that suggested he's not being entirely truthful with Eileen. He's already been linked to a human trafficking plot surrounding nail technician Alina Pop – who knows what else he's been up to?
