Corrie trailer hints Phelan could find a new victim

Coronation Street has released a dramatic new trailer revealing all the biggest storylines coming up this autumn.

The unmissable promo video offers our first look at the final chapter of Bethany Platt's dark storyline and the fallout from Eva Price and Aidan Connor's wedding day from hell.

If that wasn't enough, the extended three-minute sequence is also jam-packed full of spoilers and revelations that we had no idea about until now. Hit play above to watch in full.

Some of the footage released in the promo had already been teased previously – including Bethany being kidnapped by Mel Maguire to stop her attending Nathan's trial. This leads to a shock showdown near a railway that tragically leaves someone dead.

We can also see that tensions will be running high between the Connor family, with suspicion high and fingers of blame being pointed after Underworld was stripped bare thanks to Eva and Adam.

Elsewhere on the Street, Rana Nazir finally acknowledges her secret feelings for Kate Connor – just when her husband Zeedan wants to make their marriage official at the registry office.

Daniel Osbourne also finds himself in danger by taking on Pat Phelan, and Michelle Connor's stalker ordeal with Will Chatterton is building to a terrifying conclusion.

So what's actually brand new? Well, the trailer shows Adam and Eva sharing a kiss, revealing that their chemistry will be revisited before too long. The romantic spark between Daniel and Sinead Tinker may also be re-explored.

There's trouble for Todd Grimshaw and Billy Mayhew when Summer Spellman goes off the rails, leading to a worrying incident that could put their adoption plans at risk – and bring out Billy's dark side in the process.

The new family set-up of Mary, Jude and Angie hits some teething problems when baby George suffers a health scare, leaving Mary with some difficult questions to answer.

Phelan sends Anna Windass over the edge when he accuses her of pushing Seb Franklin off a ladder, reigniting their feud.

Plus, could Phelan's intense moment in the final seconds of the trailer hint that he's found another victim? Daniel, Anna, Gary, Nicola and Andy are all causing problems for him in the promo, leaving us to wonder whether he could kill for real this time.

Finally, the Platts are in trouble once again when Shona's ex-boyfriend Dane targets David's kids in a feud over cash. Is David about to pay the price for his ill-fated relationship with Shona?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
