Yahoo News Corrie's Gemma angers Chesney in quadruplets story
Coronation Street's Gemma Winter upsets Chesney Brown next week by going behind his back to sell their story to the press.
The former couple have been told that they're expecting quadruplets together, leaving them with dilemmas over living arrangements and budget issues.
Next week, a possible solution to Gemma and Chesney's financial predicament presents itself when a stranger offers some advice to the pair.
As Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney (Sam Aston) attend the 12-week pregnancy scan, a lady in the waiting room overhears them talking and suggests they could make a fortune by courting the media.
Gemma is immediately excited over the idea, but Chesney is appalled.
Later on, the sonographer confirms that all four babies are doing well. Gemma and Chesney smile at each other with relief following the good news, but more trouble lies ahead when Gemma's thoughts turn back to the media.
Gemma secretly calls Hiya! magazine and arranges a meeting with a reporter to share her story.
When Chesney finds out, he's disappointed that Gemma ignored his wishes and went behind his back.
Gemma apologises to Chesney and promises to be more mindful of his feelings in future, but could their baby dramas just be beginning?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, June 24 and Wednesday, June 26 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
