Corrie's Gemma Winter to face serious consequences after Bertie horror

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Gemma Winter is set for a bumpy time on the cobbles, as the exhausted mother is pushed to her limits.

Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) has been struggling for a while trying to juggle work and looking after her and Chesney's (Sam Aston) quadruplets, as well as Chesney's son Joseph.

In new scenes set to air on the soap, Gemma lands in hot water after offering to look after one too many children and causing a potentially devastating situation.

The already rushed off her feet mother, offers to look after Bertie Osbourne and Glory Bailey, with Daniel (Rob Mallard) and Michael (Ryan Russell) taking up her childminding offer.

However, the child day care doesn't go to plan as the exhausted mother falls asleep, leaving the children unattended.

When Daniel and Daisy arrive to collect Bertie, they see Gemma unaware that Bertie has eaten her antidepressant tablets as she's asleep.

Bertie's godmother Beth Sutherland lays into Gemma for endangering Bertie's life and, in the heated moment, reveals that she reported her to social services.

A distraught Gemma worries about what will happen to her and her children.

When social worker Mandy arrives at her home, things go from bad to worse.

The meeting forces Gemma to confess that she was looking after six children at the time and that she is not registered as a childminder.

Horrified by the news, Mandy warns Gemma that she could have to pay a substantial fine for her misconduct.

With Gemma and her family already struggling with money due to the cost-of-living crisis, will the family be able to pay the fine?

Could this set Gemma on a downward spiral, with her already showing signs similar to when she suffered from post-natal depression?
