Who could replace Biden on the ballot? How Kamala Harris and others rank in polls.

One of the big questions around this idea of Biden dropping out uh is who would replace him.

The obvious pick has always been Vice President Kamala Harris, his current running mate, but there has been some dissatisfaction among Democrats about her as a potential replacement.

And in our poll, we ask a question that essentially pits Kamala Harris versus someone else and someone else still leads Vice President Harris 42% to 38%.

But what we found is that that is an uptick for Harris on this question since her previous low.

Then when you pit Harris against other alternative Democrats, people like Gavin Newsom, Pete Buttigieg, Gretchen Whitmer Harris does better than all.

She's up over 30%.

She's not a consensus pick, but Democrats are warming to the idea that she could potentially be a replacement for Biden.
