Could Rihanna Join Coldplay At Glastonbury?

Glastonbury is now just days away, but rumours are still flying around about what extra special surprises could be in store for those making the pilgrimage to Worthy Farm.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb would not be performing with Coldplay at the festival, as a family member has fallen ill and he has opted to stay close to them in Florida.

Now though, it’s being rumoured that Rihanna, who appears on the band’s track ‘Princess Of China’, could make a special appearance during their headline set on Sunday night.

Speculating on the news, a tour source told The Daily Star: “Rihanna plays London and Coventry over the festival weekend but there’s a Glasto- shaped gap in her schedule on Sunday, June 26. You never know.”

We’re really hoping this happens, but we’ll just have to watch this space for now.

Speaking previously about Barry understandably pulling out of his guest slot, a source close to the star told The Sun: “Barry has had to stay put in Florida as a close family member is unwell and he needs to be with them.

“It’ll be a shock if he makes it. He is disappointed as he was really looking forward to playing at Glastonbury.

“He’s a good friend of Chris and the band and didn’t want to let them down, but there is just no time for him to get to England to rehearse.”
