What is it about?
The show follows Count Arthur Strong’s comedic adventures with other regulars at Bulent’s Café (his favourite tea shop). This series Arthur will visit a safari park, grapple with gangsters and save Bulent’s from shady criminals.
Who is in the cast?
Steve Delaney will of course be starring as Count Arthur Strong, supported by Rory Kinnear as Michael, the writer who is using Arthur’s anecdotes to help write his father’s biography. Chris Ryman is Bulent, the owner of the café and Andy Linden is John the Watch, a close friend of Arthur’s.
What happens in episode one?
After a misunderstanding with Michael’s agent, Arthur turns exorcist to rid a haunted house of some uninvited and very ghoulish guests. The out-of-work actor is forced to spend a night in the spooky property and hilarity ensues.
Who is Count Arthur Strong?
Strong is the alter ego of comedian Steve Delaney. A 70-something semi-retired music hall performer and out-of-work actor, pompous Arthur spends his time in the local café Bulent’s where most of his escapades begin.
