Countryfile fans 'sorry for loss' as farmer Adam Henson shares 'sad passing'

TV's Countryfile presenter Adam Henson shared bittersweet news with his fans following the “sad passing” of one of his animals. He updated Countryfile viewers with a post on social media, reflecting the ups and downs of farming life.

He announced the “sad passing” of his horse Victoria, but also shared the joyous news of the birth of a foal. Adam captioned the heartwarming image over the weekend: "After the sad passing of Victoria last week, I’m delighted to share the news that my #SuffolkPunch mare, Lexy, has given birth to a beautiful #colt."

Adam added: "He is doing extremely well and will be staying alongside Lexy with local expert #breeders to allow them to form a strong bond together, before joining us back at @cotswoldfarmpark. #foal #horses #farmlife," reports the Manchester Evening News.

In reply, a fan said: "How gorgeous is he? Sorry for your loss of Victoria xx" A second typed: "Wow he’s a little smasher he’s got some lovely strong legs and a beautiful face." And a third said: "What an absolute beauty ... good to see the Suffolk Punch bloodline continues Adam."

"So sorry for your loss but how wonderful is life to then to give you this gift," another wrote. "What a little Bute , we have had some lovely new season foals at my local Suffolk punch trust home at Woodbridge. Such a beautiful horse .such a lovely out come and Lexi is such a beautiful loving mum xx," another posted.

"Such a great breed to preserve congratulations xx," another said. "I could squidge him all day. Such a gorgeous little chap," another commented. "Well done Lexy hope you and your gorgeous boy are doing well," another said.

"So happy to see this, we was at the farm when we saw the horses being moved and I knew something wasn’t right, but this news is grate to see," another posted. And another Instagram user gushed: "he looks a lovely big strong boy."
