Bryce Riggs, executive director of Destination Seneca County, told local CBS affiliate WTOL 11 more about what people can expect from the event.

"It'll go dark for about three-plus minutes, and then it'll light back up and you'll be a married couple and on your way and maybe onto a honeymoon after," he said.

Local couple Jenny Harris and Bart Lombardy also told the outlet that after being engaged for two years — and together for almost a decade — they will be tying the knot during the eclipse. Harris added that every time they've tried to plan a wedding, the logistics got too complicated.

"I said, 'Sign us up! We're going to do this.' And everyone laughed and said, 'Don't you need to talk to Bart first?' He'd be totally down for this," Harris told the outlet.

"It's a memory that everybody will have and it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience," she added.
