Coventry City reveal special kit available to buy before Manchester United semi-final at Wembley

Coventry City's famous striped FA Cup-winning shirt is available to the club's supporters in-store, in the lead up to this weekend's FA Cup semi-final meeting with Manchester United at Wembley. The Sky Blues return to the home of football, which they've visited three times in the last seven years under Mark Robins, and at which they've been successful twice.

Heading back to '87, though, was when the Sky Blues last clinched some major silverware, at the old Wembley - rounding off a run to the final which, incidentally, involved beating Man United at Old Trafford in the fourth round thanks to Keith Houchen's goal. That famous side, forever in City folklore, wore a smart sky blue and white striped kit at Wembley when beating Tottenham Hotspur in the final.

That shirt is now available to buy for supporters ahead of Sunday and the club's latest outing to Wembley. It's available to buy from 9:30 on Tuesday, 16 April and you can purchase it - while stocks last - from either the club's CBS Arena store or the club shop in the West Orchards Shopping Centre - it's not available online.

The kit is described as being a 'genuine, authentic replica' of the top worn by Cyrille Regis and co during that 3-2 win over Spurs. It features the Granada Bingo sponsor on the torso and the 'FA Cup Final - Wembley 1987' emblem alongside the club's badge of the time.

City have sold around 34,000 tickets for the semi-final, as of Monday, and supporters are being urged to buy theirs if they intend to attend, if they haven't done so already. The initial allocation of 34,000 has been snapped up, with only the supplementary allocation of 2,000 left available.
