Coventry City star linked with '£10m interest' from Fulham and newly promoted Ipswich Town
Fulham and newly-promoted Ipswich Town are reported to have joined Luton Town in having an “interest” in Coventry City midfielder Ben Sheaf.
The Sun reports that all three club’s are keen on the 26-year-old after the Sky Blues “missed out” on promotion themselves this season. A fee of around £10million is being touted for the former Arsenal prospect who was the subject of speculation linking him to Luton Town in the January transfer window.
Sheaf’s stock has risen considerably over the last two seasons and he is now considered one of City’s most saleable assets, but with his current contract running until the summer of 2026, the Championship club are in a strong position.

Manager Mark Robins rates Sheaf highly and said after Saturday’s final match of the season – a 2-1 home defeat by QPR – that he intends to keep all of his top players, insisting that it would take “record bids” to prize any of them away from the CBS Arena.
Sheaf was handed the captain’s armband during games when Liam Kelly and Kyle McFadzean didn’t feature this season and is a natural successor to Kelly, who played his last game for the club this weekend, bringing an end to a seven year spell at Coventry. Should Sheaf stay, he is fully expected to lead the team next season.
The Sun report says: “Coventry midfielder Ben Sheaf is a wanted man after missing out on promotion. The former Arsenal kid is fancied by Luton and turned down the chance to join the Hatters in the last window. Now Sheaf may be ready for a shot at the top flight.”
The article adds: “Ipswich and Fulham are also interested. The fee will be in the £10 million range. Sheaf, 26, has already faced Premier League opposition this season having helped the Sky Blues to the FA Cup semi-final.”
