Parts of the UK are set to be hotter than Ibiza today as a heatwave hits with temperatures set to top 24C in Coventry. In the Spanish island of Ibiza, temperatures are expected to be just 21C.

The scorching weather is set to continue today (May 11) with forecasters predicting that parts of the country will be warmer than the dance party island.

Locally, the Met Office forecast predicts maximum temperatures of 24C for our area today. But make the most of the dry weather as there is a yellow warning for thunder tomorrow (May 12).

The ten hour warning is in place from 12noon tomorrow until 10pm tomorrow night and could lead to 'disruptive' thunder and heavy rain showers. But it is set to remain warm with highs of 25C.
